The flag of the Corps of Royal Canadian Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (RCEME) is a powerful symbol that reflects the identity, heritage, and role of one of the Canadian Armed Forces' most vital support corps. Established during the Second World War, the RCEME Corps has a proud history of maintaining and repairing the equipment and vehicles essential to modern military operations. The RCEME flag is a horizontal tricolour, composed of three equal horizontal bands of dark blue, yellow, and red. Each of these colours holds specific significance tied to the corps’ functions and traditions. The dark blue represents the close ties to the Army and symbolizes loyalty and steadfastness. Yellow stands for the engineering function of the corps, as well as excellence and innovation. The flag’s colour scheme also aligns RCEME with similar corps around the Commonwealth, particularly with the British Royal Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (REME), from which the Canadian corps originally drew inspiration. This badge contains a horse rearing above a lightning bolt, a gear, and a sword—three elements that together represent power, mechanics, and military support. The horse, known as a "wild horse rampant," symbolizes strength and the mechanical energy controlled by the corps. The lightning bolt denotes electrical engineering, while the gear and sword represent the mechanical and military aspects of RCEME's mission.

When used for ceremonial purposes or at official RCEME functions, the flag may appear alongside the corps badge or other identifying symbols. In these contexts, the flag acts as a source of pride and cohesion for serving members, veterans, and affiliated units. It is often displayed at RCEME schools, units, and events such as change-of-command parades and anniversaries.

The RCEME Corps was originally formed in 1944 to centralize and streamline maintenance and engineering support functions within the Canadian Army. Since then, its role has evolved alongside technology and modern warfare, but the values represented by the flag—service, technical excellence, and unwavering support—have remained constant. The re-establishment of the RCEME name and traditions in 2013, after a period under different designations, further emphasized the corps’ distinct identity and the importance of its symbols, including the flag.
