The flag of the Toronto Argonauts is a proud symbol of one of Canada's oldest and most storied professional sports franchises. The logo features a bold, capital “A” emblazoned on a stylized round shield or medallion. This “A” stands for “Argonauts,” a name drawn from Greek mythology—specifically the band of heroes who sailed with Jason aboard the ship Argo in search of the Golden Fleece. This mythological inspiration ties into the club's nautical roots, as the team was originally founded by the Argonaut Rowing Club in Toronto. The association with rowing and seafaring gave rise to the name and continues to influence the team’s identity to this day.

The shield behind the “A” resembles a traditional round Greek hoplite shield, often rendered in metallic tones or with rivets around its border to emphasize strength and defense.
